The wreck can be accessed by a long surface swim from Fort Ross State Park.

Attractions & Wildlife
The 225 foot long steel hull can still be found in 40-60 feet of water oriented in a NE/SW position just inside the wash rock that sunk her. While much of the good stuff has been salvaged (the ship's bell, cargo, brass portholes and propeller screw) there's still an impressive drive train and super structure covered with algae and encrusting organisms. You can see pictures and read the earliest scuba diving survey reports conducted on it at the CA State Park website.
The best way to find the wreck seems to be looking for a patch of kelp that has adhered itself to the remains. All three points of the cove seem to point inwards to it.
Skill Level & Hazards
While all good scuba divers remember not to touch wildlife, keeping your hands to yourself is even more important around wrecks. This is a historic site that has been the subject of archaeological studies and we should avoid disturbing this site as best we can.
