Sea Ranch is a planned, unincorporated community in California that was critical to the development of the California Coastal Commission and today it hosts several beaches that are maintained by the Sonoma County Regional Parks commission. Unlike other park areas, this is not protected land so much as private reserve land that has a public access. Straying from the trail is trespassing. All of the beaches are connected by a foot trail but not all have readily accessible parking with manageable hikes down to the water.
