Attractions & Wildlife

There is certainly kelp around here but the nice breaks are very popular among surfers, probably more so than divers.

Entry & Access

The beach is the easiest way into and out of Jade Cove. The fast tidal waters that passes through the rocky islands can create dangerous currents in the shallow water that can drag divers over some nasty rocks. It's tricky so get out of the shallows quick and perhaps avoid the shallow water to the south of the islands if you can take a longer swim around them to the north.

Skill Level & Hazards

If something goes wrong, you are on your own down here. Medical services are a long ways away. The cliffs are steep, the entry extreme and the waters are rarely calm. Even after getting into the water, getting out is often even more difficult. This is a site for experienced divers who know their limits.
