Restrooms
The main restrooms have been closed. However, the city of Des Moines has brought in port-a-potties to serve in the interim.
Showers
Since the closure of the fishing pier, the showers have been unavailable. However, during spring/summer months, the boat washing spigots are available. They often have short hoses connected, but you should bring a hose if you want to make sure you have one. Note these are used to rinse off boats, so they may be busy.
Skill Level & Hazards

(all) The dive site is good for beginner to intermediate and advanced users. The slope and depth of the site offers something to see starting at 20'. A diver will find various items underwater, including a large pipe, several skiffs and boats as well as smaller items. Close to the entry (at the edge of the MAST), you will find a large diameter rope that will lead the diver down to around 90+ feet during high tides. The often dove carousel boat can be found at the bottom.
Hazards
There are few hazards in the water. One should be aware of an occasional current (called the Redondo river) that can "push" and unprepared diver down the slope to depth. This is generally easy to avoid by staying above 40'. Depending on where you park, watch for traffic as you cross the street to the stairs.
