This beach is a hidden gem as in it's actually hidden. Unless you know where to look, you'll drive right past the entrance, but for those who know where to go and don't mind a long walk to the water (it'll build character!) you'll have this small beach all to your lonesome.

There aren't many large mats of giant or bull kelp but there are urchin barrens interspersed with lush pterogophyra covering the bottom. The proximity to deeper water nearby ensures plenty of clear, cold water upwelling towards the surface.

Park on Yankee Point Drive on the southernmost bend of the road and walk your gear down an unmarked and narrow path between two wooden fences. The trail is steep at times and about 300 yards long. The beach is an easy, sandy entry and exit but not well protected from adverse conditions.
