Entry & Access
Park on the side of the highway under the Cypress trees and locate the trail head. The beach is inviting but getting down to it is a struggle. The recommended approach is to take the trail to the right to go north up the coast (as opposed to south to Soberanes Point) and do a giant stride off into the deeper water. Getting out is trickier but merely requires that one ride a wave up onto the rocks and hang out when the water recedes. Then crawl out.
Skill Level & Hazards
Strong currents, no cell reception, remote location, steep entries and exits.
Nearest Emergency Medical Facilities
